# Pay per run, only when it works.

Prices as of Sep 30, 2026. No subscription and no seats. A run costs what it used plus the creator’s price, and Claude shows the most it can cost before it starts. $5 of runs to start, no card.

## To start

- $5 starter credit, one per person. Use it within 90 days. Promotional, no cash value.

## What a run costs: usage, plus the creator’s price

- Usage: what the run used. Computing, transfer, data calls at cost + 10%, and a $0.01 run fee.
- Creator’s price: set by the creator, $0 to $5, charged only when the run worked.

Before a run starts, Modpack sets aside the most it can cost, and Claude shows it. You pay what it used; the rest goes back at once.

## Limits you control

- **Per-run limit** (default · up to $10): $2. A run that would cost more doesn’t start, and Claude tells you why.
- **Monthly limit** (default · up to $500): $50. New runs wait until the 1st, or until you raise it. Running ones finish.
- **Low balance** (never a failed run): Waits. The run waits up to 24 hours and starts by itself when your top-up lands.
- **Auto top-up** (opt-in): Off. Offered after your first purchase: add $10 when you’re below $2, up to a monthly cap you pick.

## You don’t pay for runs that don’t work

- **It worked**: Usage plus the creator’s price, exactly as on the receipt.
- **It didn’t work**: Nothing: crashes, time-outs, results that fail the pack’s checks, and problems on our side. The reserved amount goes back at once.
- **You stopped it**: What it used until you stopped it. Never the creator’s price.
- **It’s waiting for funds**: Nothing until it starts. If you don’t top up within 24 hours, it’s cancelled.
- **You think a charge is wrong**: Press “Report a problem with this charge” on the receipt. If the run didn’t do what it said, we refund it.

## Paying: a prepaid balance you top up when you want

- **Top-ups** ($10 · $25 · $50): Cards only: Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link or a card. Sales tax is added at checkout where it applies.
- **Paid credit** (Never expires): No monthly fee. When you close your account, what’s left is refunded to your card.
- **Promotional credit** (Spent first): The $5 starter credit and invite rewards. No cash value; each shows its expiry date.

## Questions

### Does my Claude plan cost extra?

Modpack is separate from your Claude plan. It works on Claude Free, which allows one custom connector, and on every paid plan.

### What if a creator changes their price?

An increase applies 14 days after it’s announced, and Claude shows the new price before your next run. A decrease applies right away.

### Can I buy for my business?

Yes. Tick “Buying for a business” when you top up to put your company name and tax ID on receipts.

### Who gets the creator’s price?

The creator keeps 80% (90% for founding creators). Modpack keeps the rest to cover payments, payouts and hosting.
